advent calendar are simply part of the Christmas season and are a wonderful way to increase the anticipation of the festive season. With these instructions, you can create a unique advent calendar-wreath that combines tradition and creativity.
Step 1: Prepare the napkin motifs
Start your project by carefully removing the two unprinted layers of napkin so that only the printed layer remains. Then cut out the desired motifs from the napkin, that will later decorate your matchboxes.
Step 2: Designing matchboxes
Apply a thin layer of napkin varnish to the front of the boxes and carefully place a napkin motif on top. Coat the motif with the napkin varnish, to fix it and create a glossy surface. Let everything dry well.
Step 3: Add decorative accents
Once the napkin motifs have dried, you can add decorative accents with the decorative snow liner. These will give your boxes a wintry touch. Use the Posca marker, to write numbers from 1 to 24 on the boxes. To complete the festive look, stick a few sparkling star stickers on the boxes.
Step 4: Preparing the metal ring
Lay a metal ring flat on the table to serve as the base for your wreath. Cut different lengths of jute ribbon that you will hang around the ring. Attach the ends of the jute ribbon to the ring with hot glue so that the ribbons hang freely.
Step 5: Attaching the matchboxes
Place the matchboxes decoratively on the jute ribbons. If you like the arrangement, attach the boxes to the ribbons with some hot glue so that they stay securely in place.
Step 6: Finish the wreath
For the suspension, knot an additional ribbon to the upper part of the metal ring. If you prefer a more stable attachment, you can also fix the ribbon to the ring with hot glue.
