Create an anchor
The basis for this craft idea is the VBS "Anchorage" wooden lettering. This consists of the large "Anchorage" lettering with an anchor and a single wooden anchor.
First decide whether you want to glue the anchors on top of each other for a 3D effect or whether you want to place them in different places to create a 3D effect. Paint one or both anchors with craft paints and use a Posca marker to add a dot as a seagull's eye.
Prepare the tray
Prime the tray with white handicraft paint. Let the paint dry thoroughly.
Attach the lettering
If you want to place the second anchor separately, as in our idea, stick it to the lettering with hot glue. This will give the two wooden parts better stability.
Tip: add a chain of light for indirect lighting by also attaching it with hot glue.
Glue the lettering to the prepared tray and press it down firmly.
Complete the decoration
Sprinkle colored sand and shell granules on the tray. Arrange driftwood and shells on top to create an authentic beach look.
Attach the fishing net ribbon to the edge of the tray to complete the nautical theme.
