Make Heart Sticks: The Perfect DIY Idea for Romantic Occasions
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and the first spring weddings are approaching. But this heart stick also offers an enchanting way to express love for a birthday or anniversary. Individually decorated, it fits any occasion and beautifies bouquets, vases, or plant pots. Follow my simple guide and create a decorative highlight to surprise your loved ones.
Craft Heart Sticks: Step by Step
Step 1: Punch Out Hearts
Depending on how many sticks you want to make and how many hearts each should contain, you now punch out a variety of hearts from red cardstock or another suitable paper. Use a shape punch to achieve perfect forms.
Step 2: Attach Hearts
Now it's time to attach the punched hearts to the wooden stick. Always take two hearts of the same size and fasten the wooden stick between them using craft glue. If you want to incorporate different colors and sizes, you can also glue smaller, differently colored hearts inside the larger ones.
For a fascinating 3D effect, take four hearts, fold them in the middle, and stick them together as well as to the wooden piece.
Step 3: Decorate
Almost done! Now it's time for your creative touch. I chose red satin ribbon and golden wax beads as additional decorations. The beads can be easily glued in the desired spots.
In no time, you have created beautiful heart sticks!
