A wreath of flowers in your hair is the ultimate accessory for festivals, summer parties and romantic evenings by the campfire. Instead of using real flowers, which wilt quickly, simply use plastic flowers. They look just as beautiful and last much longer. In this step-by-step guide, you'll learn how to create your own floral headband in just a few simple steps. Let us inspire you and add some flower power to your summer outfits!

Prepare the materials

You will need various floristry materials for your flower headband. First, measure the circumference of your head where you want the flower headband to sit. Add a few centimetres so that you can open and close the wreath flexibly.

Shape and prepare the headband

Use figure wire to shape the headband. Cut the felt sheet to fit the figure wire so that the felt encloses the wire. In our example, we have used a green felt sheet. Glue the felt around the wire with hot glue .

Attach the plastic flowers

With florist tape you can now attach the plastic flowers. You can find a huge Selection of plastic flowers online. Use side cutters to snip the flowers off the stems. Decorate the wreath with a few leaves for a particularly pretty look. If the artificial flowers don't hold well enough, you can also attach them with hot glue.

Final decoration

Use organza ribbon as a beautiful finishing touch. We used two colors in our hair wreath. Cut two pieces of organza ribbon of the same length for each color. They should be long enough, as the ribbon will be doubled. Glue the double organza ribbons to the ends of the headband and decorate these areas with plastic flowers and leaves so that the glued areas are invisible.
