DIY: Reindeer Christmas balls

The magic of Christmas is often in the details. A self-decorated Christmas tree makes hearts beat faster and creates a warm atmosphere. Instead of using the same christmas balls every year, why not create something of your own? In this tutorial, I'll show you how to conjure up adorable reindeer-christmas balls that will put a smile on everyone's face and make your tree a real eye-catcher. Let your creativity run wild!

Start by stirring the Inka-gold-paint well. Then apply an appropriate amount of paint directly to the glass ball using a paint sponge . It is best to use a quartered sponge to spread the paint evenly. Depending on the desired intensity of the color, apply several layers and let each one dry well.

If you want the reindeer to have a rougher look, you can also dab the paint on with the sponge. Be careful not to press too hard with this technique so that the previous layer is not damaged.

When working with the ball, it is easier to remove the ball holder, but you can also gild it.

While the paint is drying, you can make the ears. Cut out drop shapes from craft felt - two large and two small ones for each color. Glue them on top of each other. Make a small cut at the tip to shape the ears. Fix the ear shapes with a little handicraft glue and leave to dry. Tip: Use clips to hold the ears in place until the glue has hardened.

Once the ears are dry, cut the lower ends straight off without removing too much of the glue.

Now attach the red pompoms as noses and then glue the ears to the ball using hot glue.

Use a POSCA marker to draw the eyes on the ball. Finally, attach small branched pieces of wood as antlers. Birch branches are particularly suitable for giving the reindeer the perfect look.
