Make pompom animals

Start by wrapping different sized and colored pompoms . You can use a pompom maker, a special tool that makes winding much easier. To create a pompom, wrap the yarn around the arms of the pompom maker several times. Once the pompom maker is completely wrapped, close it and cut the yarn along the edges. Use a piece of yarn to tie the center tightly together and then remove your finished pompom.

Once you have created several pompoms , you can glue them together with hot glue to form the base of your animal. Hot glue is a fast and strong glue that works well for projects like this. However, make sure you work safely as the glue can get very hot! You can then use a pair of scissors to trim the shape of your pompoms and customize it.

Print out our template for the eyes, wings and spines and cut them out carefully. transfer the shapes to foam sheets and felt and cut them out again. Attach the wobbly eyes to the cut-out foam sheets-parts with a drop of hot glue and stick them to the pompom animal.

Depending on which animal you are making, use chenille wire (also known as pipe cleaners) to form wings, antennae, noses or other details such as spikes, which you can also attach with hot glue. chenille wire is particularly flexible and can be easily bent into different shapes.

Decorate your animal with mini bows or small hats as desired. These additional accessories give your pompom animal a particularly cute look and a personal touch.

Finally, attach a Perlon thread to your creation so that you can hang it up anywhere. Perlon thread is sturdy and almost invisible, so your pompom animal will float elegantly in the room.
