Tablet with napkin technique
Instructions No. 2474Use the napkin technique to transform a simple tray into a spring-like decorative element. You can choose the napkins and the motifs as you like. And how about an etagere with the same great look?
Design the tray:
1. Paint the top edge of the tray with craft paint in lavender. Let the paint dry. Tip: To get a clean edge, you can mask off the areas that are not to be painted with masking tape.2. Remove the two unprinted layers of the napkin and cut out the desired motifs on the napkin.
3. Use a brush to apply napkin varnish to the tray, place the napkin motifs on top and coat the napkin again with napkin varnish. Make sure that the varnish is always applied from the inside to the outside. This way, the edges also adhere well to the base.
4. As a special decorative highlight, you can emboss some motifs. To do this, prime the embossing foil with white craft paint and let it dry.
5. Stick the napkin motifs onto the foil as described above and cut them to size after they have dried.
6. Use embossing pens to emboss certain areas on the back, such as wings, and thus highlight them. This creates an impressive 3D effect.
7. The embossed motifs can be stuck to the desired places with craft glue.
8. We have created beautiful kraft paper bags to match. Simply decorate the block bottom bags with lace doilies, tags with sayings and pictures that are attached to the bag with letter clips and the previously embossed napkin motifs.
