Wooden house with napkin motif

These step-by-step instructions will show you how to create a unique decorative highlight using the napkin technique, beautiful colours and sparkling decorative snow. With little effort and a lot of joy in small details, you can enchant your surroundings and immerse yourself in a cosy atmosphere. Preparing the craft material
Place the little house on the lamp foil, outline it and cut it out a little smaller so that it can no longer be seen from the sides when it is glued on.

Start by applying a thin coat of napkin varnish to the cut-out lamp foil. The napkin varnish acts as an adhesive and ensures that the napkin adheres well later. Make sure you apply an even layer so that the napkin motif can be stuck on later without creases.

Attaching the napkin motif
Choose a quarter motif from the napkins that you particularly like and carefully cut out the desired motif. With the napkin technique, only the top, printed layer of the napkin is used. This layer is very thin and must be handled with care. Carefully place this motif on the prepared lamp foil and apply another thin coat of napkin varnish to fix it in place. Then leave the varnish to dry completely and cut off any excess paper.

Artistic design
Paint the window of the little house to your liking using the VBS craft paint and allow the paint to dry well. Then apply the decorative snow to the roof and windowsill. Allow the snow to dry completely before continuing.

Final assembly and decoration
Now you can stick the decorated lamp foil to the back of the house. Place a small figure on the windowsill to liven up your little house. Attach a chain of lights from behind to create an enchanting glow.
