Concrete plant nursery
Instructions No. 2563With many indoor plants, you can create a green Urban Jungle in your home. For even more plants, you can easily grow new green plants from cuttings. This decorative plant nursery made of concrete offers your offshoots a safe place to grow.
Create lettering
Print out the free motif template and place the pinwheel foil on it. Paint the lettering with the concrete art liner and leave to dry for approx. 2 hours.Place the pinwheel foil in the mould with the lettering facing inwards so that the lettering is later completely covered by the casting compound. You can fix the foil with some tape for further stability.
Preparing and filling the mould
To prevent the test tubes from slipping when filling, you can make a small grid out of wooden sticks. To do this, place several wooden sticks vertically in front of you. These should be placed next to each other at the same distance if possible. Glue two wooden sticks horizontally to the vertical wooden sticks. This will create small squares into which the test tubes will fit.Press the test tubes through the grid into the concrete and let everything dry for about 24 hours.
After the drying time, you can remove the grid and carefully take the silicone insert out of the mould: Loosen the edges and sides from the concrete and take out the casting.
Now also remove the foil with the lettering. If any residue of the Beton-Art liner still remains on the concrete, carefully loosen it with a bamboo skewer.
