Create lifelike hands with quick moulding compound
Instructions No. 608Mix the rapid impression material with a mixer according to the manufacturer's instructions in a 5 litre bucket or similar. The container must be large enough to hold both hands in the desired Position to be able to immerse yourself
Cream the hands and then apply the desired Position into the masses.
Wait until the mass becomes firm after approx. 5 - 10 minutes, then carefully move your hands back and forth and pull it out again. You have thus created your own personal relief casting mould.
Now mix the relief casting compound in a separate container according to the manufacturer's instructions and fill it immediately into the mould
Important: Stir the powder into the water - not the other way round - to avoid lumps.
Leave the mould to stand for approx. 2 hours, then the self-made silicone mould can be removed from the cast.
Allow the casting compound to dry for at least 2 days, then add Aqua-Seal lacquer. This dries milky and gives the terracotta-coloured hands a great Patina.
Materials science Rapid impression material
Rapid impression compound is very well suited for the production of individual and detailed negative moulds. The material consists of natural raw materials and can therefore also be used without hesitation for taking impressions of body parts.
The powder is mixed with water in a sufficiently large container, then the original object is immersed. After only 5 - 10 minutes the mass is firm and the original can be removed. After pouring, the mould is cut open and removed - what remains is an absolutely lifelike cast of the original.
