Wind light made from wood & acrylic blocks
Instructions No. 3039Our wind light is made with acrylic and craft blocks and really makes a statement. The acrylic and wooden blocks can be customised to your taste. The motif shines beautifully when you light the wind light from the inside.
How to make the wind light from the craft blocks:
Firstly, stamp the acrylic blocks. To do this, place the silicone stamp on the holder with the right side facing up. Then dab it with the ink pads. Now you can stamp the acrylic block. Repeat this process for the other three acrylic blocks.
Tip: If the stamp motif is smudged or you don't like the placement, you can quickly wipe it off. The stamping ink is waterproof after about 5 minutes.
Next, paint eight of the craft blocks with black acrylic paint. Once these have also dried, you can start gluing. First glue together 5 blocks for each wall in the following order:
1x craft block - 1x black craft block - 1x acrylic block - 1x black craft block - 1x craft block.
Once the walls have been glued and dried, the floor follows. To do this, simply glue seven craft blocks together along the long edge.
Check whether there are any glue residues on the acrylic blocks of the designed walls. You can now wipe these away with a damp cloth or carefully scrape them off with a bamboo skewer.
Info: You can tell that the glue has dried through because it has become transparent.
Now you can glue the walls together at the sides to create a square. Finally, glue it to the centre of the base.
You can place a candle or a chain of lights inside the square to illuminate it.
